The Dance Academy, based in Thurcaston, is a friendly dance school, with a welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on originality and personality within performance and ensure all lessons are both developmental and fun! We are a family-oriented dance school that caters to the individual needs of each child we teach.
Our professional, qualified teachers are dedicated to ensuring each and everyone one of our students reach their own potential in a caring and supportive environment. The lessons we deliver are progressive and developmental, nurturing independence and confidence in all of our students.
We welcome children from the age of 2 years upwards, offering weekly classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Acro. Within these classes students have the opportunity to take part in Performance exams with British Theatre Dance Association twice annually. Along side this, students perform in a Spring Showcase as well as in our Annual Show towards the end of the year. Other performing opportunities throughout our calendar include local events, such as Birstall and Anstey Gala which are great opportunities for the students to develop their performance skills and self confidence.
